It does look a bit like Norham.
What do the letters N.P.W. mean? I am used to U.S.D. ( Urban Sanitary District) but haven't seen NPW before.
Presumably it refers to a type of area under the public health act, so might be of help. You could look up all the towns/villages that occur in the Registration District named on the cert (what is it?) to find all the ones that end in -ham that fitted the NPW designation.

Hi yes it will be Louisa at 4 but where did you find that record?? I couldn't find it on the genealogist website??

Thanks for your help guys amazing as always. Me I'll let you know if I find out what the npd bit is.
The actual death certificate area just says Southampton.

Cheers

Louisa Baker, with her son in 1891, it is a poor image.

If that doesn't help on The Genealogist, you can see her for free at the moment on MyHeritage. You don't need to be logged in, or even registered!

You can save the image.

I actually wonder if it's a very poorly written USD. Might help to compare with other text on the certificate.
