19th Army Fd. Survey Royal Engineers WW2

Postby Mylofylo » Thu Jul 06, 2017 3:26 pm

Hi Folks
I hope someone can point me in the right direction to see War Diaries of the RE during WW2. I've just come across my late father's Temporary Travel Permit, valid from 4/4/1940 to 4/6/1940 to travel from Colombo to Paris. I have sent off for dad's service records but understand this can take months. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Peter
I've just read the history link you sent me and it would make sense as my dad was a printer and engraver before and after the war
