Ages in the 1911 census are not supposed to be rounded down (or up), that only applied to adults in the 1841 census.

If you need her parents names then you should be looking for her birth registration and getting a certificate - if you post her details I'm sure someone will help.

Could it have been 5 months in 1911? That would make her born in 1910.

Her name was Elizabeth mccurdie born 1910 in Ayr Scotland from what I have been told from family is her mothers name was Jessie graham but no one knows if that was her married name or madien name as her father was called john/James Thomson I thought if I looked at the census for 1911 it would possibly give me her mothers name and possibly her husbands if that makes sense sorry I'm new to this and a little confused

Hang on - if she was born in Scotland just a few months before the census, which census have you been looking in?

Apologies if you do understand this but the 1911 for Scotland is on ScotlandsPeople - and only there I think...

My local library told me that if she was born in 1910 then she would have been one years old on the 1911 census I looked on Scotland's people and couldn't find anyone with her name being aged one at that time And can't check the 1921 census as that's still closed so not really sure what to do

It does depend on when she was actually born in 1910 and it is likely that her age might be in months, so in theory she may be transcribed as '0' years, as computers apparently can't deal with fractions of years, the other suggestion is that she may not have been named at the time.
