Help reading a death certificate

Postby Jenaheldd » Mon May 22, 2017 11:20 am

Got a couple of bits on this death cert that I'm struggling with and would appreciate some help. Thanks

First word in the cause of death column:
Dxxxxxxx - 6 hours
Asiatic Cholera - 12 hours

Place of death/residence of informant:
13 xxxxx Street. I thought it was February, but now I'm not sure.
(For what it's worth, in the 1851 census, she was living in Thomas Street)

Hi
For what it's worth I think the street is 13 Fitzroy St and the Dxxxx is Diarrhoea for 6 hours.

I did wonder if it could have been diarrhoea but the letters didn't look right, but looking again, I think you are correct. Especially looking at the way the 'a' of cholera curls up - its the same.

And FItzroy Street would fit for the area as well.

Many thanks Ciderdrinker :-)
