Something's ringing a faint bell - wasn't there a case very like this in the last series of WDYTYA? A very young mother lost her baby in similar circumstances, through no fault of her own. I have no idea what the process was then but it might help giving some insight - if anyone remembers.

The infant death was in the Danny Dyer episode:

It looks like it could have been a similar cause of death.

All coroner cases and reports are closed for seventy years. After the seventy years all persons making an application to see coroners reports have to prove their kin by producing birth certificates.

One of my sisters passing went to the coroner and after the case the coroner produces the death certificate with cause of death etc. however, my sisters passing wasn't suspicious ...my sister very sadly took her own life.
