sdup26 - thanks, no problem :-)

marky - yes, given the name Jane, then it looks like it's not the same one.

I noticed this entry on Geni which seems to explore the Bramshott lot, just in case you ever found a connection. Again, no mention of Jane, but funnily enough there was a John Tuckey born 1797 who ended up in Australia:

Ah - convict John! Yes, we know about him but he's another project, trying to link him to 'our' Tuckeys

I also found this interesting website on Headley history - if you haven't seen it (or if you didn't create it!), it might be worth contacting the author:

This page, I think, confirms the baptisms you already know about:

Thanks Paul. John's website has been invaluable and he's also put me in touch with a distant cousin who has helped on identifying the property at Hollywater, in particular pointing out that it isn't Hollywater Farm itself.

Looks like we've hit a bit of a brick wall here. We think the next logical step is to locate the marriage of Thomas and Catherine. If anyone has any joy finding that, let me know! Must surely be approx 1734 - 1736.

The thinking here is that if we can locate the parish of the marriage, we might be able to find the baptism of John in the same place.

It's pretty unlikely, but there is a Thomas Tucker marrying Catherine Osmond in Tiverton, Somerset, in 1733, according to FamilySearch.
He was born in 1716, father Jasper (whose first name does not appear to be passed down to Hampshire).
It's the only one I can see at all in the date range there.
How extensive are local records pre-1735 in Headley? They seem to be pretty good.
I see Catherine is occasionally spelt Katherine in the records. I assume that Tuckey isn't ever confused with Tucker, it seems to be a name in itself.

The Headley records are pretty good. I can't see anything else for Thomas Tucker and Catherine in Devon so perhaps no children there although I haven't had time yet to do any more than a cursory search. Tucker is definitely a different name to Tuckey but of course, slight changes can't be ruled out in an era when most couldn't read or write
