Help reading this death certificate

Postby pforkes » Mon May 15, 2017 5:13 pm

It looks like "The mark of Hannah Washington..........Littleport" but the bit in between is illegible to me.

Can someone here read it?

It would help to see a little more of the writing, but I'd agree it says "Ten Mile Bank". I grew up in the Fens ... Ten Mile Bank is more of a location than a village/hamlet. But certainly a reference point distinguishable from Littleport, which is a proper town.

Thank you for interpreting that for me. Sadly, I do no know who Hannah Washington was and even if she was related to him in any way.

Hannah Washington may have been the local midwife come nurse if the date is 1841 Plus you may find her in a census in the surrounding area.
