William Wingfield McDonald

I am trying to find out where my 3 x Great Grandfather, William Wingfield McDonald, was born circa 1793. From around 1810 he was living in Dulwich working as a parlour boy and then servant for a butler at Dulwich College. He married at St Martins in the Fields in 1817 (wife Elizabeth Barlow) and his children were all baptised at Dulwich College apart from 1 (John Benjamin). Census' give his birth place as Brighton Sussex.

Do you mean the census shows the son's birthplace? If you access the 1841 census, put William's name in and see what it shows up.
