Royal Army Medical Corps

Postby Jackohara11 » Thu Feb 23, 2017 2:46 pm

I posted these two photos before, and some users thought they were Royal Marines. However, I now think they may be Royal Army Medical Corps, from just before, or the start of, World War One.

What does everyone think?

Royal Army Medical Corps

I have just googled RAMC Uniforms - none of the images of uniforms match your photos. There are no images with the white covering on the cap and they all appear to have the peak unlike the Marines. Therefore, I think, from your earlier post, that these are Marines not RAMC.

Royal Marine Light Infantry.

Why did you think they might be RAMC?

Also, an RAMC tradition is that they do not fix bayonets on parade.
