I know it's easy for me to say when it's not my tenner at risk, but would it be worth sending for the Mary Clayton death cert (JQ1852 West Bromwich 6b 344) if only for elimination purposes?

Hello
Well you have been busy! Thank you!
Yes Sandwell Lane is just around the corner from Mare's Green which is the end of the street and turn left.5 minutes walk maybe.

It'll take a while to sink in but i think you may have her.
One death certificate to send for I think .
Well done!
I'll get back to you when it arrives.

ps yes that Richard and Sarah Hartshorn is the younger brother.

Hello
Certificate arrived this morning and no luck.
She's the wife of John Clayton and from Taylors lane.
So back to the drawing board

Thank you both

What a shame - and it looked so hopeful. Ah well, as you say, we keep going!

Hi
I am really sorry about that, ciderdrinker. She certainly is a very elusive lady. There should be a death record for her somewhere of course. Although I'd imagine that most of us have one or two ancestors who seem to vanish completely - I certainly have.

Yes
We all have a few awkward customers out there.
Still it was only a tenner and it did look really good.
I appreciate the help.

I'm afraid I have to admit defeat with Miriam. Very frustrating, but I just can't find her in 1841, or post 1851. Do let us know if you come up with anything.
