I have this photograph which I think looks like the soldiers are in foreign WW1 uniform?
Are the soldiers from abroad? Or are they from the UK? Knowing would be a massive help in identifying the photo. If anyone could tell me anything else about it that would be appreciated also.

Royal Marines? Because their peaked caps don't have any peaks*.... (Yes, that odd statement about sums up my knowledge of RM uniform)
*Apart from the bandsmen...

I would agree with Adrian that these chaps are Royal Marines, I think Royal Marine Light Infantry (RMLI), the cap badge looks correct to me. There could possibly be some "flaming grenade" type collar tabs too on the bandsmen which may indicate RMA, (Royal Marine Artillery). This is not for sure though as I can't quite see on the pic. The white covers to the caps would have been worn during the summer months over the normal caps.
Hope it helps,

I agree. Royal Marines. There are a lot of images that would support this if you just google 'Royal Marine uniforms 1WW'.
