No record in Worthen prior to 1846 for Bunner family.

Please can anyone suggest a source of research for John Bunner born c1725 (I don't know where) He first comes to light in Worthen, in the Shropshire Parish Records of 1846 with the Christening of his daughter Esther Bunner. The family appear to be just starting out, Mom and dad are John Bunner and Jane.
Their children are baptised in the local Parish Church and I can follow the family from then on when their name changes to Bonner.
There are no records of any Bunners in Worthen prior to 1846. There are Bunners in nearby Montgomery but I have not been able to find John there.
I am unable to find any marriage record of John and Jane neither can can I find a birth for John Bunner.
Many Thanks
Happy 2017

Can you please confirm the dates because if he was born in 1725 he can't appear at a Christening in 1846 I would suggest. Have you looked at the 1841 and 1851 census?.
