Funny you should mention this, as I too have noticed a change. Where once I expected months to be mis-read as years, I’m almost disappointed to note this seems to have been corrected, as I now haven’t come across any in the past couple of weeks.

Sorry for changing the subject from the new GRO death index to the new GRO birth index.
But are findmypast copying it?

Those two screen shots are interesting - I see that the FMP version includes males and females in the search results. There have been times when I’ve had to double up on searches on the GRO site because it insists you choose male or female. Could be a new ‘go-to’ option when trying to find all potential children of a couple.
