I'm a member of the Suffolk fhs but I don't think they have anything on line. I joined because my GG Grandfather came from Wangford (the one near Southwold) only to find his parents actually came from Norfolk! It is just possible I may be calling into the Lowestoft record office st the end of February and may be able to have a quick look for you.

Thank you again. Sent PM but believe lost in the system.
Elizabeth Annison born 1808 in Gorleston and married to Jacob Marshall possibly 3rd February 1827 in Gorleston.
I know nothing about her parents and any info from a Christening or Marriage record would be fantastic.
Best wishes and regards, John

Jacob and Elizabeth Marshall of Great Yarmouth.

Postby paulr1949 » Tue Feb 28, 2017 7:30 pm

Hi John,

I found the following. The records were indeed from Gorleston.

"Elizabeth, daughter of William Annison and Sarah his wife, late Sarah Galen, born 30th August and baptised 4th September 1808. "
The marriage to Jacob Marshall was on 3rd February 1827, witnesses Richard Wood (possibly Woods) and Judith Annison. Jacob, Elizabeth and Richard all signed with their mark, while Judith signed her name.

Sorry but I did not have time to go back any further and look for William and Sarah's marriage.
Lowestoft RO has the records on microfilm and also a transcription.

Hope this is helpful
