There is nothing on the back - just a handwritten "Greece" and a date in 1945 - Uncle was there peace keeping after war

looks like a statue of Makarios, unfortunately these are everywhere in greece.

Do you know anything of his service history - for example his regiment? That might give you a starting point to track down where he might have been based.

Royal West Kent - saw action in Egypt, Italy before being posted for peace keeping in Greece and Yugoslavia in 1945. I Was interested to see I could identify where exactly in Greece.

The full name of the regiment is the Queen's Own Royal West Kent. There is a website where you are able to make enquiries regarding the history of the regiment - this might help you. It is thequeensown.com. There are other websites that also provide a history of the regiment.
