Kings Royal Rifles

Postby interloper » Tue May 06, 2008 1:56 am

Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me identify the regiment. I have discovered that my Great Grandfather was in India in 1891 in either the 1st or 2nd Kings Royal Rifles as an Armourer Sergeant. I have attached a photo that I hope could be him,
Many thanks

The photograph does show a sergeant, but I can not say if he was an Armourer Sergeant and yes it would appear that he was serving in a Rifle Regiment going by the style of uniform that he is wearing. It would be interesting to see a close up of the watch fob as it would appear to be an animal of some description.
