Postby Sue1965 » Sun Aug 21, 2016 7:49 pm

I am trying get further information on my Barge ancestors (River Lea, Hertfordshire) I've tried HALS in Hertford but there is limited info available. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

I do not know if you have looked at this site but it may help if you haven't - www.canalmuseum.org.uk. It has lots of links that may give you a prod in the right direction.

If your local library has back issues of WDYTYA magazine there was an article about finding canal ancestors some time ago.
