19th and 20th century US History reources website

Postby ermin79 » Sat Jul 09, 2016 8:28 am

I have come across a subscription website which has a large collection of information on the history of the United States in the 19th and 20th centuries.

http://www.accessible-archives.com/

In their words they have "Diverse primary source materials reflecting broad views across American history and culture have been assembled into comprehensive databases. Developed by dedicated instructors and students of Americana, these databases allow access to the rich store of materials from leading books, newspapers and periodicals then current."

Their databases include African American newspapers from the 1820s onwards, American county histories, Civil War volumes, details of the women's suffrage movement and copies of the National Anti-Slavery standard

Subscription charges seem quite reasonable, starting at $8.95 for a month for individuals
