German ancestor

Postby luvbug43 » Fri Jun 03, 2016 8:34 pm

I am looking for help in finding information on my German ancestors. My mother's maiden name was KLEIN. Although her dad, Max Otto, was born in UK his dad was from BOCHUM. It would nice to find out if I have any relatives from that part of my family.

It would help us if you could give dates and where you have looked.

Hello there,

I hope that you still check this forum since you posted this in 2009!

I have German ancestors, most interestingly the Koch's (bakers that came to UK).

But I do have KLEINS in there too. Here is the info, let's see if you have the same:

Anna Elisabeth Klein 1678 - 1743 married to Wilhelm Losekamm.

I have her dad down as Johannes Klein.

I think the originals poster's German ancestry is more recent as her great-grandfather was born in Bochum. I'm guess that was some time during the late 19th or early 20th Century.
