Cooper family

Postby KayFarndon » Wed May 04, 2016 2:34 pm

I am seeking the marriage of Horace Thomas James Cooper b.1899 d.1988. He was the brother of my aunt's husband and in the family he was always known as Dick. I got his name from my aunt's death certificate as he was the informant of her death.

A neighbour of his contacted me to tell me he had passed away and mentioned that he had a daughter, otherwise I would have assumed he'd been a single man all his life. He lived with his brother and his wife and after his brother Edward passed away he stayed on.

I would like to make contact with any descendant of his who knew about his life and perhaps registered his death.

Do you know which area of the country he's likely to have lived in?

My thanks to you all. I think ianbee is spot on with his reply. Horace ended his days in Southampton and I still have no idea why he was known as Dick.

The marriage could be correct too, so extra thanks for that. I will have a closer look and report back as to how I get on with it.

I knew Horace Thomas James Cooper who was employed by my family for 30 years. We knew him as Dick. I have details about his family and his life while he lived in Southampton - also photographs of him. Please feel free to contact me for further information.
