Software download

Postby Gordonsymonds » Wed Feb 17, 2016 9:34 pm

Is it possible in any way to get the software onto my tablet or notebook via a memory stick. I have searched for a download but without success.
Thanks.

I have the wdytya programme on disc. I need to get the programme on my notebook which doesn't have a disc drive. Any ideas?

You could borrow a machine that does have a disk drive and copy the stuff onto a USB drive (thumb drive they're sometimes called). Then use the USB drive on your notebook.

Gordon,
If you have a home network, you could place the disk in a pc with a disk drive, then access the disk from your netbook via your network.
I know this works, as this is how I got Family Historian loaded onto my Laptop, which also doesn't have a disk drive.

Gordon,

Had another thought, you could get yourself a USB DVD drive. You can pick up one for under £20, might be worth getting for the future use you could get out of it, like loading other software, burning backup CD's etc.
