First World War / Boer War

Postby Jackohara11 » Thu Jan 28, 2016 1:53 pm

Hi all, attached are two photos of whom i believe to be the same person. I believe they are my 4th great uncle, Seargent Thomas Bell, killed Gallipoli 1915, aged 50. He was in the 3rd Scottish Horses and had previously served in the south african war, do you think this could be him in the two photos?
Thanks of your help

Presumably with Boer War medal ribbons? (I couldn't recognise them I'm afraid). His cuffs appear different - anyone know if that's typical of "Yeomanry" type uniforms?
