Physical Trainig Instructors WW2

Postby meekhcs » Thu Nov 26, 2015 9:42 pm

Hello All
I have two questions please if anyone can help.

1. The Army had the APTC based in Aldershot. Was there an RAF PTI equivalent?

2.Does anyone have any info of PTI units that would have been stationed in Horsham /RAF Tangmere area in 1944?

Thank you Sally

RAF School of Physical Training, I believe there were 3 in the 2nd WW, No1 at RAF St Athan, No2 at RAF Cosford & No3 at Loughborough College. These trained PTIs .

Each base would probably have its own PT Section with one or more PTIs depending on size.
