Postillion’s State Style Cap

Postby chris brooks 777 » Sat Nov 21, 2015 3:46 pm

Does anyone know who purchased the Postillion’s State Style Cap from Bosley’s Military Auctioneers on 05.12.2012?

It accompanied a photograph of the original owner in Royal Artillery uniform – who was Alfred Milton my GG Uncle.

I wish to obtain a copy of the photograph only, but Bosley’s are no longer in contact with the purchaser!

Or where do I go from here?

Chris

PS - I have a picture of the cap but don't know how to insert it here!

Presumably you don't know the purchaser's name? I guess the auctioners are unable to tell you much because of client confidentiality.

Even if the auctioneers aren't in contact with the purchaser one would imagine that their records would have an address for the purchaser. Have you asked if they a. have an address and b. if they do if they would be prepared to forward a letter from you to the purchaser.

I will ask them if they will forward a letter to the last known address of the purchaser.

Thank you for your comments.
