Access to the 1939 Register

Postby campbrd1 » Fri Oct 30, 2015 4:03 am

This register could contain some relevant family information but what an exorbitant cost for access. Trying to make back their outlay for digitising it in one foul swoop. To bad I won't be touching it at those prices, subscription fees are high enough what a ransom. £6.95 per household record, or £24.95 for a bundle of five household records.

I probably will but that's because FMP did an offer earlier this year for a half-price annual world subscription. I don't know how many people took advantage of the offer. However I guess it was a sweetener to encourage people to access the 1939 Register, for which I have been been told I will get a 25% discount code: a bargain taking into account my half-price annual subscription and the fact it would cost me about the same to go by train to view the records at TNA.

Also, out of interest, why did you start a new topic on this instead of adding to one of the other two already set up?

The cheapest way to access records in the 1939 Register is to buy the 15 household bundle. This works out at £3.66 per household.

The 25% discount for the 5 household bundle works out at £3.74 per household.
