Medal listing

Postby pollymac » Thu Jun 11, 2015 7:26 pm

This is a 1939-1945 medal listing. I am interested in Charles Edward Wilson, discharge no. R.1171, d.o.b 27.11.00. Can someone tell me which medals he received and what the numbers in the far right column refer to?

I am not 100% certain but think the letters are abbreviations for the various medals. With the CL possibly meaning clasp. From right to left in the top row 1939-45 star, Atlantic, Africa, Pacific, Burma and then France and Germany with the final column in top row being WM for the war medal? Bottom row may be Italy star and clasps for the medals above? The numbers far right may be his service number. So based on this your chap may have had the 1939-45 star, the Atlantic star and the war medal 1935-45.
