Hi May,

As far as I am aware the 1871 census returns for Aston are complete. The registration district for Aston includes the sub-registration districts of Deritend, Duddeston and Erdington and there is a separate registration district for Aston Manor. As well as being available on Ancestry the census returns are also available on microfilm at Birmingham Library.

Many thanks Paul,
I have lost my Pettit family Charles, Emma, and children on the 1871. They are not in Eyre Street or Watery Lane, where they appear on other records. Charles and his son John were Silversmiths.
regards

Hi May

Did you find your Pettit family? I've found a record for a Charles L 'Pettitt' born 1811, Emma L born 1812 and their children Louisa C, George A, Jane E, and John H in 53 Bristol Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham in 1871.
