The Kemsley Mill Campaign

Postby SteffJay » Wed May 13, 2015 11:30 pm

Hello. I am the chairman of our local Royal British Legion branch. Instead of writing a book here, i would like to point you to our web site page to explain what i am trying to achieve. http://www.sittingbournerbl.info/kemsleymill.html

Our local Genealogist society are looking into the military link regarding the list of names, however, my problem lies with the confirmation of employment of the names with Kemsley Mill, prior to joining the forces.

I have contacted a representative of the present owners of Kemsley Mill, to enquire if they have records pertaining to the names. I was informed that the records were destroyed in the early seventies, after the obligatory archive of forty years.

My question to you is, is there any other avenues i can try to confirm the employment of the list of names with the company?

I thank you in advance.
