I wanted to ask out of interest:

Has anyone had difficulties receiving certificates from GRO?

I sent for two certificates (birth & death) on the 27th of March this year and still haven't received these certificates. A week ago, I went through the GRO complaints procedure and still not received my certificates. During the complaints procedure I was asked to give a contact number and nobody has tried to contact me regarding my complaint. I must say, I am very disappointed and now wonder if any other persons have had the same, or similar difficulties, as I have?

Pete.

Not had a problem order one on Friday last week, arrived yesterday, all the certificates I have ordered recently have arrived within 5 working days. If a reference is not provided then the timescale has moved out to 24 working days. Guess the cuts by government now starting to hit certificate production.

Hi Martin,

My certificates have arrived today.

You have given me a great tip.

I have never provided a reference number because I was lazy and thought it didn't matter...silly me.
I will next time provide reference numbers when I send for future certificates.
Thanks Martin...I learn something new with every post.

Kind regards,

Pete.
