This is Samuel Boon's dear wife Ann Boon (nee Saycell).
After Samuel sadly passed away at Co Longford, Ireland Ann and her young family came back here to Manchester. My 2x great grandmother was buried at Southern Cemetery, Manchester.

This is an email I received today from Hugh i mentioned in an earlier post regarding writing a book about the 8th Hussars:

'Hi Pete,
nice to hear from you, I was fairly busy lately, sorry for the delay in replying, last week we launched our book on the graveyards of Templemichael and Ballymacormack, your ancestor Samuel is listed in it. James Champion was stationed in Longford with Samuel. Attached is photo of James Champion and the cover of our book.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Hugh.

On 23rd December 1873 at Longford in Ireland, James Champion was discharged
from the Army , completing 22 years with the colours at the end of his second period of engagement. With a daily pension of 2 shillings and sixpence, he was given a warrant to travel via Dublin to Gloucester with his wife Sarah and their four children'.

Hi Benstones,

Wonderful that you're related to me via our Boon's.

Samuel and Ann's daughter Eliza Ann Cooper (nee Boon) was my great grandmother.

All the very best,

Pete (Manchester, Lancashire)

P.S. I've done much research into my Boon's
