I was delighted to read the article " The WDYTYA forum solved our Second World War mystery " and to hear that the contact with Julie Clarke has gone so well. A really interesting story and a very satisfying conclusion !

As always a great magazine. Interesting to note that Somerset archives and resources have moved to North Yorkshire!!!!

The article "Officer records catalogued" is misleading as the volunteers have not "sorted and given a catalogue description" for series WO 339. The series was transferred to The National Archives some years ago and given a basic entry, with Surname and letters for the Christian names so you had several files to check. It is disappointing that the dates of birth and places of birth were not added. I think that these records and other records (e.g. of Aliens) are an example where records should have been fully listed.
