Regarding Army Lists, public most libraries have sets but not always complete. The county records office at Gatacre St, Ipswich should have a full set. I do know that Colchester public library, being a garrison town, does have a full set and its not that far from Ipswich.

Oh really? I am a volunteer there currently. Might see if the staff will let me have a look.
