cap badge I.D.

Postby bernardhowell » Mon Aug 11, 2014 8:14 pm

Can anyone help me with an ID on the cap badge Thomas Kendrick 1883-1943 is wearing please.
He was living in the Co Durham area at the time of his enlistment if that helps. I thought that as he was wearing a lanyard he would be some kind of artillery but it seem all new recruits wore them at that time. Also is there a site that will give a comprehensive list with illustrations of WW1 army badges that would be usefull in the future?

Looks like the Army Service Corps, there was a Thomas Kendrick service number M/349419 fitting that description.

If you know where his medals are they'll have the service number on them.
