Alfred Edward Corrick born 23 March 1886

Alfred Corrick was born 23 March 1886 in Heigham Road Norfolk. He died in 14 May 1977 in Petts Wood Kent.
He served in the First World War as S/N 201354 Private A E Corrick Leicester Regiment.
In 1911 Census he was a Butler in West End of London.
As I am a subscriber to Find my Past and visit Ancestry through the Library I tried to get anything on him. To no avail !! on either site.
I managed to get his medals for him by sending off for them and voila back they came.
He was very please. Un fortunately he died a little later and gave me as his grandson his WW1 medals.
I contacted the Leicester regiment but they wanted his battalion number !! The reason for contacting them was obviously to find out ALL about him.
I do not know why he joined the Leicesters as he was based in either London or Kent during this period.
Any data or help received would be much appreciated or even where or who I would need to contact
Thanks
