Hi Ciderdrinker,
Found the will of BJM Greenhill, must have had my eyes shut the first time around. It was there plain as day.
Thanks again for the tip

Hi
Can I ask if you have found any link to a Sidney J Greenhill born in Lewisham in the late 1800s, or a link to the Leicester branch of the family?

No, I'm sorry I don't have a Sidney Greenhill in my tree. I have mainly concentrated on the descendants of Mary Mills Greenhill who married John White and emigrated to Australia in the late 1840's with their children.
Do you have any information about his parents or siblings as I have rudimentary details of some descendants of Mary Mills Greenhill's siblings.

Allison,
Concerning the locations, Wanstead, Hoxton, Shoreditch, Ratcliffe, BEthnal Green and MEOT, these are all located in the East End of London, and are within 5 -7 miles of each other.

Caversham (suburb of Reading) and Marlow are located on the Thames, West of London, and basically on the route of the Great West Road out of London, which bears out what has been said before regarding him travelling on the coaching routes.

Mike

Just to confirm Jane Mills is 'yours' - Jane Mills Greenhill baptised 15/3/1797, Caversham, Oxfordshire, father William Greenhill, mother Sarah. (FMP England Births & Baptisms)
