Best WDYTYA? moments

Postby Editor » Wed Feb 26, 2014 12:53 pm

The next series of WDYTYA? is going to include the 100th episode. To mark this, we'd like to put together our 100 favourite moments from the show and offer readers the chance to vote for their favourite. I need to put together a list of 100 moments so I thought I'd ask our forum 'genies' if they have any of their favourite moments? Here are some of mine to get you started:

The moment when Natasha Kaplinsky's cousin Bennie starts singing in an abandoned synagogue

Unrolling the scroll in Matthew Pinsent's episode, when he finds he's descended from God

The bit where Jerry Springer is standing at the station in tears

The moment where Ainsley Harriott realises he is descended from slaves and slave owners

Alex Kingston discovering her 'inner whore'

Jeremy Paxman's 'tear'

When Patrick Stewart meets a man who fought side by side with his father

As you can see, I tend to like the moments where celebs are moved but anything will do. Please post yours and help me put together a great list. We'll put all the clips on YouTube so you can view them all.

The moment when J K Rowling finds out about the Croix de Guerre

Also, I just watched Stephen Fry again and it had me sobbing when the tears were falling as he told his Mum about what happened. Its' one of the best episodes.

The end of the very first episode where Bill Oddie talks about what he would say to his mum if he had the chance now. It brought tears to my eyes.

And, the lovely Sarah Millican moved to tears by the work her diving relative did, along with the suffering of her other ancestor!

Greg Wallis discovering how his ancestors had perished in a fire. He was so moved, it made me cry too.

Yes, I thought that was moving too. In fact, I thought the whole episode was brilliant. Thanks, has anyone else got any more suggestions?
