Women workers in WW1

Postby Judith G » Fri Jan 10, 2014 11:44 pm

Hi,
I think my grandmother and her sister worked in a munitions factory in Coventry during WW1. Does anyone know whether there are any lists of such workers?

My grandmother was Lizzie Nicholson and her sister was Ada Stell.

Thanks, Judith

There was the National Filling Factory No 10 based at Coventry. Not sure what records will be available but they will be held locally. Ask the Coventry history Centre what they have. Good luck!

Thank you for the suggestion. I have e-mailed the History Centre and await their reply. I'll let you know if I make progress!
