Ancestry DNA Matches - missing birth locations

Postby ermin79 » Wed Apr 08, 2020 7:24 pm

On my Ancestry DNA matches when I click on a DNA match I can no longer see birth locations for any of my links.

I have checked several links and this appears to be the same for all my matches. The matches do have places of births listed for individuals and when their tree tab is selected the surnames in their tree are displayed. However there is no map where there used to be one. This has proven very useful in checking areas which might be of interest even if there are no matching surnames.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes, it happened to me. There are many issues regarding ancestry DNA matches; maybe it is due to regular updates.

Thank you, glad its not just me! I have checked today and they are back, as you said must be some kind of glitch with updates going on.
