Is it me, or is this series somewhat slow in presentation? There has been some informative historical content, but I found the Whitehall's episode a bit bland and I agree about the repartee.
However I shall still keep watching in the hope of better stories.

I agree with you Kay re presentation. Daniel was very wooden and stilted. Naomi was interested in one thing only, and making her own political point and the Whitehalls obviously feed off each other but there were too many “looks” and not enough “words”. Each episode could have delved so much further into history brought up by the “finds” in each episode.
Yet again documents appeared as if by magic.
But like you I am hooked and will continue watching and that’s what the programme makers know will happen!

Think you're probably right but both show the authorities' fear of revolution at the time.
