Higby in Hertfordshire

Postby Will Mundy » Fri Mar 29, 2019 8:05 pm

Good evening,

I was wondering if anyone can help me trace one of my ancestors a Phoebe Higby, she married a Richard Grover in 1778 in Watford. I can find no trace of her birth or death or her husbands death, I have been able to trace the Grovers back in Hertfordshire but not the Higby’s. Could anyone shed any light on the matter?

Any help would be much appreciated

There doesn't seem to be much, if any, Higby activity in Watford at that time.
One to investigate perhaps
Phoebe Higbed
bap 13 July 1755, Kings Langley
parents Joseph + Mary

Not sure though if burials in Kings Langley have been put up anywhere, just in case that one died young.

There's a burial for a Richard Groves at Watford 30 Sep 1832.
May be the husband.
