BDM Certificate Price Increase in the UK from February

Postby MaureenE » Sat Dec 29, 2018 7:19 am

Society of Australian Genealogists (in Sydney) has advised in an email to members:

"BDM Price Increase in the UK from February

On 16 February the price of certified copies of English and Welsh birth, death and marriage certificates will increase from £9.35 to £11.00. PDF copies of register entries ordered online will increase from £6 to £7 on the same date. This is the first increase since 2010, and this advance notice should give you time to order any certificates you need before the price increase takes effect.

Other increases coming in from 16 February include an increase from £23.40 to £35 for same day priority service, a new charge of £3 if you apply for a certified certificate and don’t supply the full GRO reference, and a fee of £3.50 if you apply for a certified copy but it cannot be issued as the details supplied don’t match any register entry".

Cheers
Maureen
