Memories of the Village Baker

Postby BRM » Fri Feb 09, 2018 6:30 am

Arthur J Battle wrote a book called Edwardian Chislehurst: Memories of the Village Baker" about one Richard Johnson's business, the family and the area. It includes photos.

Apparently Richard Johnson's nickname is given as "Icky Dick the Pilgrim." in this book. Curious why
and if anyone has a copy...

Thank You.

You should be able to order a copy through inter-library loans. Bromley library service has several copies.

If you want to purchase a copy there are about a dozen on ebay at varying prices.
