A House Through Time

This 4 part series is coming to an end. Fascinating story about one house in Liverpool and the people who lived there. Told through census, directories etc.

It charts the decline of the area from upper middle class house to working class lodgings and perhaps its more recent revival.

Well worth a watch for anybody interested in genealogy or social history.

My husband and I are absolutely loving this programme.

I keep wanting to grab my lap top whilst it's on to follow the families on after they leave Faulkner Street. I did find one family that he said there was no further record of and I'd come to the conclusion about the little girls before he revealed it to the audience. Just shows how the mind works when you have a bit of research experience.

A friend is enjoying it so much as well she's asked me to research her house for her!

And a great presenter - can't recommend it enough.
