I found that this episode was totally spoilt by her unpleasant attitude and totally ignorant comments. The Kirk session consisted of the ordinary people who lived in the village and who would have expectations that a schoolteacher would behave in a lawful and responsible way. To be so dismissive of, and sneer at the folk who lived in that little community was, to me, utterly unpleasant. As for her relative who committed the crime - why did she feel so much more sympathy for him, than for her other relative who was the 'sinned against' and yet still brought up the former's children? I always liked Anne Reid but sadly seeing her in reality on this programme has totally changed my opinion!
