Mark Gatiss's episode

Postby Jon Bauckham » Thu Oct 08, 2015 10:53 am

Tonight's episode features actor and writer Mark Gatiss, who sets off from his native County Durham in search of fabled Irish connections. Although it's the ninth episode of the series, we actually got a chance to watch the film at the beginning of July – we even had a little 'premiere' in the office!

As ever, share your thoughts below. Don't forget that there will be no WDYTYA? next week as Frances De La Tour's episode will not be broadcast until Thursday 22 October (not quite sure why, unfortunately – sorry!)

Best,
Jon

Not your usual episode and proved that you can research records in Ireland or at least in Northern Ireland and the information on the Ulster Plantations was good. It could have become confusing when there were two main families in the area, not necessarily directly related. The vampire tales showed that family history research can take a new turn.

Jon, The Apprentice is on next week in the WDYTYA slot.
