Spamy message warning

Postby Gene-al » Tue Jul 28, 2015 4:09 pm

Tried posting a query but told it was too spamy for a 'new user'. By deleting dates it was acceptable for forum but then the message was lost! How do I post a query with no dates?

that's bad luck Alan. Unfortunately we have had (and unfortunately still get) scam and spam posters infiltrating the message boards - so annoying. No doubt Jon Bauckham will get back to help you, but in the meantime, why not try again to post in ? presumably the research enquiries board. Keep it fairly short and simple. Name, place, year range should do it and what you are looking to find. (do not include any weblinks) One of us will probably get back to you asking for more information, or "what do you want to know now?" and hopefully you will then be able to reply in the same thread with the extra details.
Good luck!
