I am looking for information on my Grandfather William David Bowen, born in Aberdare, Wales in Feb 1897. He was a coal miner and apparantly when work ran out he cycled all the way to Warminster, wilts to find work! It was here he met my grandmother Nora Randall. Any info on him will be very gratefully received! [:)]

Hi parfit,
Do you have any certificates for him ? The marriage certificate of your grandparents ? If you do, then it will list his fathers name, which will help others to locate him for you in censuses if you don't have them. If you have his birth certificate then posting his parents names will help people help you further.

Did you find any details about your Grandparents or are you still looking?

Sorry, yes still looking. havent been able to get on line for a while. My grandads parents were Isaac and Mary Ann. I am waiting, not patiently, for the welsh counties to be uploaded onto the 1911 census sight as thought this might help with my research. I am also hoping to make a visit to Glamorgan in search of more info. [:)]

I have found them in the 1901 Wales Census - have you already seen that?
