1911 Census - working abroad

Postby Pitcairn » Wed Feb 25, 2009 6:23 am

I believe that my wife's gt grandfather was working in South America as a boiler maker for a railway company at the time of the 1911 Census. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can find out more about him and his work? His name was Harry Pedley and he was born c.1864.

There was a Henry Pedley who left Liverpool on 15 Apr. 1893 to New York on ship 'Nevada' but is listed as a ' Potter'. Prob not the same person?

Thank you for the quick reply. Might not be him, but I won't discount it yet. Where did you find the information?
