Transferring info from notebook to MacBook.

Postby grandma » Thu Oct 30, 2014 6:39 am

I've been working with Family Tree Maker for several years now and I have all my info stored on a Samsung notebook. I have converted the files to Gedcom and stored them on an external hard drive for back-up. Can anyone tell me how to transfer the info onto a MacBook, or even if it's possible? I really don't want to have to start inputting the info from scratch, as there's so much.

When I got my first version of FTM as a present it would not run as I have an iMac and this was before the Mac version was released. I originally used an old laptop to get some use from it but last year purchased the Mac version. You may find that you will have to update or buy the Mac version to upload your gedcom onto your Macbook.
