John Lampard - Clock and Watchmaker

Postby BRGashead » Mon May 26, 2008 3:00 pm

Does anyone know anything about John Lampard, who was a clock and watchmaker. He lived in Mere, Wiltshire in the 1830's but moved to Bruton, Somerset and then Raglan Place, Bristol to continue his work. He died in 1882. I think his son continued to be a clock and watchmaker. I would be grateful for any information, etc.

Hi BRGashead,
Do you have him in the 1851 census with his wife Sarah and kids Jane Julia, John Withey, Elizabeth, Sarah Mary and George Lampard, all living in Mere, Wiltshire ? There are other censuses too-what do you need ? If you want to know which son succeeded him, then I suggest following all of the family in all of the censuses.
